Workers under the tourism industry will be receiving their booster shots during the slated national vaccination drive this March 10 – 12.
City Tourism Officer Sarita Sebastian said around 600 workers are set to receive the additional booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, which is given at least 3 months after the primary vaccination doses.
Together with the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Zamboanga City (HRAZ), the coordinated effort is a manifestation of the local tourism industry’s support for the local and national government’s vaccination drive, said Sebastian.
The National Vaccination Days 4 (NVD4), dubbed Bayanihan Bakunahan, will be held from March 10-12, as the government’s continued drive to vaccinate Filipinos against COVID-19.
For Zamboanga City, the local government and its vaccination teams are targeting a total of 15,413 doses – 4,402 for second dose and 11,011 booster doses.
Thirty (30) vaccination sites will be opened for the NVD4. Of the 30 vaccination sites, 3 will be mobile vaccination stations which will be roving in key areas and establishments in the city. (Jasmine Mohammadsali)
