Mayor John Dalipe and Vice Mayor Josephine Pareja spearheads the turnover and blessing of the newly-constructed health center in barangay Mercedes, Saturday, March 9.
Mayor Dalipe said the event is testament to the city government’s unwavering commitment to providing quality healthcare services to the residents of Barangay Mercedes and signifies another step towards improving healthcare accessibility in the community.
The mayor promised to make Mercedes as the center of change and development starting with the construction of the biggest international airport in the country. “El bario de Mercedes amo el queda centro del di aon movimiento de cambio y desarollo na costa este. Aqui na Mercedes hay construi kita el uno del maga de contodo grande aeropuerto internacional na pais y tambien crea un nuevo poblacion del ciudad.”
The newly-constructed health center cost the government P3.15M and was undertaken by private contractor, FJ Construction and Enterprises. It sits in an area of 96 square meters.
Rev. Fr. Larry Gador officiated the blessing ceremony which was also attended by Councilors James Siason, Jihan Edding and Youth Commissioner and SK Federation President Carol Julianne Dalipe, Executive Assistants Amado Natividad Jr. and Leonard Ong, City Engineer Chris Navarro and staff, Asst. City Health Officer Kathy Garcia, Mercedes Barangay officials led by Chair Romeo Fayluga, and Mercedes Health Center medical staff and others. (Bernadeth Lazaro)
