2,457 seniors benefit in March 4 quarterly cash aid rollout

The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) catered 2,457 senior citizens of barangays Putik and Arena Blanco in its latest rollout of the P1K per quarter cash stipend.

A total of P4.488M was released in the March 4 and March 5 payouts held in different venues, as the city government continues the rollout of the cash incentives for seniors.

Mayor John Dalipe, who initiated the program has strictly ordered the continuous and uninterrupted rollout of the cash assistance to all senior citizens in the city’s 98 barangays.

Of the total beneficiaries for March 4 and March 5 payouts – 1,272 senior citizens were from Putik, while 1,185 were from Arena Blanco –all under CSWDO- Field Office IV. The distribution was divided into two days due to the large number of recipients.

The distribution on March 4 was facilitated by Executive Assistant Edna Sumergido, along with personnel from the CSWDO, paymasters from the City Treasurer’s Office, barangay officials, and senior citizen association officers. (Bernadeth Lazaro)
