A total of 378 families received family food packs from the DSWD, as the city government through the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) likewise provided sleeping gears such as blankets and mats and other relief goods as initial aid to the affected families.

Of the total 378 families affected, 65 are from Tugbungan, 33 from Guiwan, 180 from Tumaga, and 100 from Sta. Maria.

The distribution was done per barangay – one after the other, Monday afternoon. Each relief pack contained rice, coffee, chocolate drink and canned goods.

Dalipe and Pareja’s presence during the distribution ceremony manifested the city’s commitment in supporting the vulnerable sector and people in need during times of crisis.

Recall that over 300 families were temporarily evacuated Sunday afternoon due to flooding in the 4 barangays due to heavy rains in the forest. Four other barangays became under water but no evacuation took place.
