IBT Night Market rakes in P3M in year 1

The Night Market at the Integrated Bus Terminal in Divisoria has earned a total of P3,097,165.00 during its first year of operation that started September 16, 2022.

Mayor John Dalipe made this announcement during the flag raising ceremony Monday, as he commended the IBT management under the City Administrator’s Office for the outstanding achievement.

The IBT Night Market with a total of 62 stalls (56 operational), celebrated its first year anniversary last Saturday, September 16 with a program coinciding with the 39th birthday of Mayor Dalipe.

IBT Supervising Officer Rafael Derek Evangelista said of the total P3.097M collections for the first year of operation of the night market, P2.451M represents revenues generated from rental of stalls while P645,285.00 represents the revenue generated from driveway parking.

The IBT Night Market has a total of 62 stalls with 56 stalls operational.

During the program celebrating IBT Night Market’s 1st year anniversary, stall owners thanked Mayor Dalipe and the City Government for the opportunity given them to restore their livelihood that was affected by the closure of business activities because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Recall that per initiative of Mayor Dalipe, City Government launched 2 other night markets in 2022 as the city reopened economy. The other two are those located in Rizal Street downtown and Baban Street in Baliwasan. (Sheila Covarrubias)
