Mayor John Dalipe declares his administration’s full support to Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) to ensure their inclusion and empowerment and enhancement of  quality of their lives.

 The mayor made this declaration to the officers of the Zamboanga City PWD Federation (ZCPWDFed) officers led by its President Krewin Serrano who paid him a courtesy visit in City Hall recently.

Like the senior citizens, the PWDs are also very close to his heart, Dalipe told the PWD representatives.

As the city expands the benefits and privileges of senior citizens, Dalipe said he also intends to augment the budget to provide additional incentives to the PWD sector as well.

Other initiatives for the benefit and welfare of the PWDs are on the pipeline, he added.

The conduct of the PWD Got Talent activity is included in the list of the Zamboanga Hermosa Festival 2023 Calendar of activities, proof that the PWD sector is a priority in the Dalipe administration.

Also present during the courtesy visit to Mayor Dalipe last Friday, September 8 were Assistant City Social Welfare and Development Officer Uldarico Fabian, CSWDO-Persons with Disabilities Affairs Unit (PDAU) staff and some Barangay PWD officers and coordinators. (Sheila Covarrubias)
