Mayor John Dalipe continues to demonstrate strong political will in pursuing the completion of priority projects under his administration as he celebrated his first year as local chief executive.
This as he met with concerned offices and personnel las Monday to ensure the airport transfer project remains on track as far as land acquisition is concerned.
The city mayor instructed that successfully acquired lots be paid as promptly as practicable to ensure landowners receive just compensation for their property.
According to City Legal Officer Atty. Haydee Panganiban, the city government has already fully paid seven (7) lots and partially paid 65 others.
Of the 344 lots subject for acquisition, 156 have already been appraised and awaiting further action from the City Legal Office.
Temporary perimeter fencing along the boundaries of the new airstrip are also underway. Also present during the meeting were City Assessor Erwin Berrnardo, Executive Assistant V Atty. Rochelle Magnolia Tamin, Assistant City Accountant Atty. Anson Maarim, Assistant City Budget Officer Pilar Gonzales, Housing and Land Management Division chief Rodrigo Pagotaisidro, as well as representatives from the City Engineer’s Office and Land Bank of the Philippines.
