BOSS wraps up today

The Business One Stop Shop (BOSS), the streamlined system for business permits registration and renewal culminates its operation, coinciding with the deadline of payment of taxes today, January 20. No extension will be provided.

Late applications for permits renewals will pay a fine of 25% plus 2% on monthly payables.

Unpaid assessments as of January 20 will be given only until Wednesday, Jan. 22 to pay without penalties.  City Treasurer’s Office (CTO) cashiers will accept payments until 10pm today, Jan. 20.

Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) cashiers will accept payments only until 8pm, those who will pay from 8-9pm shall have to return the following day to pay for BFP fees and claim their permits.

The BOSS has been in operation since January 2, the first working day for the year 2020. It has been open Mondays to Fridays from 8am to 8pm and during Saturdays and Sundays from 8am to 5pm.

The streamlined system of the BOSS, which puts all government agencies involved in the renewal and registration of all kinds of business permits and licenses in one venue is a strategy of the local government in line with the Ease of Doing Business policy.

Under the BOSS system, applications are processed in 2 steps: apply and pay and release of business permit for new registration and verify and pay and release of business permit for renewal. (Sheila Covarrubias)
