Two Hermosa Festival, the Smoke Out Zamboanga – Grilled Food Fiesta and the Zamboanga Grand Midnight Sale, will officially begin Saturday night at the Pasonanca Park.

The formal opening ceremonies will be held at 6 PM, to be led by local government leaders and officials.

Marking the start of the countdown to the Fiesta Pilar celebration this October, the Smoke Out Zamboanga and the Zamboanga Grand Midnight Sale will run from September 28 to October 12, from 9 am to 12 PM.

For the Smoke Out Zamboanga, there will be 33 participating concessionaires who will be serving a variety of grilled and street food.

Meanwhile, the Midnight Sale will have 45 participants for the night market. Ninety travelling merchants will join the Midnight Sale on Monday.

With the start of the Hermosa Festival activities, the local government reminds residents on the prohibitions set by Executive Order 502 prohibiting the following: parking of motorcycles and 4-wheel vehicles, unauthorized flying of drones, bringing of backpacks, and wearing of bull caps, waistcoats/chalecos, and jackets.

For the Smoke Out and Grand Midnight Sale these prohibitions are imposed 5 p.m. to 12 a.m. at Jardin Maria Clara Lobregat Butterfly Garden and Entablado de Maria Clara Lobregat Covered Court adjacent to the Pasonanca Barangay Hall from its junction with Pasonanca main Road to its junction with the Pasonanca Public Swimming Pool Road.  (Jasmine Mohammadsali)
