The Business One Stop Shop (BOSS) has officially closed after a month of business registration and renewal operations at the Centro Latino.

The BOSS received 11,203 applications and issued 9,767 business permits during its operating period from January 2 to January 31 at the Centro Latino, which generated P 220 M in business taxes.

Aimed to help ensure the ease of doing business in the City, the BOSS is rolled out every January for the swift registration and renewal of business licenses.

Recognizing the contribution and cooperation of the local sector in the payment of business taxes and timely renewal of registrations, the local government on Monday, February 4, recognized top taxpayers who paid their 2019 business taxes in full.

Certificates of recognition were conferred to the top five single category taxpayers – Lily G. Chua (Oro Wonder Drug), Esmael U. Tan (E & L Fishing Enterprises), Rey Chan Cheong (Allied Motor Enterprises), Carolina Yu (NCY Marketing), and Antonia Alvarez Tan (Aleson Enterprises) – and to the top five corporate taxpayers – Mercury Drug Corporation, Freemont Foods Corporation (Jollibee), Emcor, Inc., Avon Cosmetics, Inc.m and Permex Producer and Exporter Corp.

The 2019 BOSS was set up in Centro Latino, with representatives from local offices and agencies involved in the business registration and renewal posted at the BOSS venue to undertake backroom operations and man the help desks. (Jasmine Mohammadsali)
