Mayor John Dalipe Wednesday leads a special tribute dubbed “Despedida de Agradecimiento para los Retirados de Gobierno,” honoring 25 employees who retired from the city government service from January to June 2024.
Organized by the City Human Resource Management Office (CHRMO), the semi-annual event honors retired city employees for their unwavering dedication and commitment to providing quality public service.
Mayor Dalipe expressed profound gratitude to the retirees, citing their significant contributions to the government. He told the retirees that they are always welcome to City Hall events especially the Christmas party. “Mi rezo para con ustedes, que ojala ay tiene ustedes un vida retirado lleno de nuevo oportunidad y experiencia, lleno de prosperidad y abundancia, y lleno de rizas y buen exito na masquin donde ustedes ay anda y ay llega.”
Each retiree was presented with a certificate of recognition, individualo 201 file, and a P5K cash gift from the Zamboanga City Government Employees Association (ZCGEA).
Present during the special tribute were City Health Officer Dr. Dulce Amor Miravite, City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Officer Dr. Elmeir Apolinario and other department heads, division chiefs, ZCGEA President Alvin Alfonso, and members of the Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) Committee.
The 25 retirees include Cleopas Solamillo, Jr (Admin Officer V) and Ofelia Dadule (bookkeeper I) of the City Accountant’s Office; Kadil Lumandong (Aquaculturist II) of the City Agriculturist Office; Cynthia Francisco (Budget Officer II) of the City Budget Office; Laurente Jimenez (Engr. II), Harold Antioquia (Engr. II), Rolando Vasquez (Engr. III) and Marlon Francisco (Mason I) of the City Engineer’s Office; Pablo Jatico (Laborer II), and Jose Rene Marcial (Laborer I) of the City Environment and Natural Resources Office; Maria Fe D.L. Alfaro and Orlando Patron, all Utility Workers I of the General Services Office; Ma. Roselyn Sumicad (Nurse III), Domingo Pallar (Sanitation Inspector III), Leonides Macabinguil (Nutritionist Dietician II) and Orlando Abarabar (SI I) of the City Health Office; Montano Cortez Jr. (Community Affairs Officer IV) of the City Mayor’s Office; Anna Melinda Decir (Librarian I), Susan Cabato (Clerk III), Socorro Deborah Duremdez (Admin Aide VI), Jose Tito Barrios (Bookbinder II) and Elisa Zapanta (Utility Worker II) of the Office of the City Secretary to the Sangguniang Panlungsod; Roberto Angga (Admin Aide II) of the City Social Welfare and Development Office and Ernie Erie Plagata (Local Revenue Collection Officer III and Ignacio Alvarez II (Ticket checker) of the City Treasurer’s Office.
