A total of 1,687 individuals coming from disadvantaged sectors received financial assistance from the City Government through the Local Social Amelioration Program, a COVID-19 pandemic response effort.
Mayor Beng Climaco led the distribution of the financial assistance Tuesday emphasizing that the local government’s help is intended to alleviate their plight amidst the challenges brought about by the pandemic.
Recipients of the LSAP cash assistance included security guards and workers of commercial establishments.
The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), which facilitates the LSAP distribution has scheduled a series of payouts for the month of March starting Tuesday, March 8. (Sheila Covarrubias)
