Census activity of water bird population 2023

         Government agencies, volunteers, members of the academe, wildlife enthusiasts and bird photographers gather together every second or third week of January annually to join the census activity of water bird population and its distribution within the City’s identified wetlands.

        The Office of the City Environment and Natural Resources personnel joined the census activity of water bird population on January 9, 2023 at Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST) and Great and Little Sta. Cruz Islands Protected Landscape and Seascape. On January 18, the same activity was conducted at Bog Lake, Upper Calarian, Zamboanga City.  Below are the following findings and observations, to wit:
