The Office of the City Environment and Natural Resources (OCENR) participated in the Zamboanga Bird Festival on February 27 to 28, 2023.
Two-day bird watching activity was held at three different locations, namely the Great Sta. Cruz Island, Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST)- Bird Sanctuary, and Pasonanca Natural Park (PaNP).
Participants from OCENR, Department of Environment and Natural Resources- Community Environment and Natural Resources Office- Zamboanga City (DENR- CENRO, ZC), Protected Area Management Office (PAMO) – Sta. Cruz Islands, Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology (ZSCMST) students, and a group of bird enthusiast both local and foreign were amused by the different species of birds the Zamboanga City has to offer.
The event is one of the lineup activities initiated by the City Tourism Office in celebration of the 86th Dia de Zamboanga 2023.
