On Monday, January 14, 2019 at 3:00P.M., the City Government of Zamboanga successfully launched and operated the Material Recovery Facility (MRF) located inside the City’s Sanitary Landfill Facility (SLF) at Barangay Salaan, Zamboanga City.

This activity was conducted in accordance with the implementation of Solid Waste Management Program of Zamboanga City and Republic Act 9003 otherwise known as “Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000”.

Present at the said launch were Zamboanga City Mayor Ma. Isabelle Climaco, City Environment and Natural Resources Officer Engr. Reynaldo S. Gonzales, City Administrator Marie Angelique Go, City Engineer Christopher Navarro,  Punong Barangay Silverio Francisco of Salaan, and officials of the city.
