City turns over P5.59M barangay hall to Zone II

The City Government Tuesday turned over a newly-constructed barangay hall to residents of Zone II in the city proper as part of its infrastructure program and continuous support to the barangays.

City evac center in Cabatangan up for construction

The City’s proposed evacuation center in Cabatangan will soon be realized, as the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has announced the availability of the P33.53 million funding for the project.

Dengue cases up for April, May

The City Health Office advocates caution anew as dengue cases in the City increased in the past months.

Based on data from the City Health Office, dengue cases for the months of April and May were significantly higher, registering 130 and 188 cases, respectively, as opposed to 97 and 127 cases reported last year for the same time period.

Mayor wants bypass road closed by night

Mayor Beng Climaco has concurred with the recommendation of the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office to temporarily close the bypass road especially by night to prevent vehicular accident and criminal act.

This developed after an incident Sunday night when a passenger bus fell into the ravine while negotiating the bypass road. At least 20 people were injured.
